SMCEDU Hawaii proves education is a passion for all
Last week, I talked to two Social Media Club leaders, Tara and Roxanne, who are the movers and shakers for the SMC Hawaii Chapter.
Both of these ladies are looking to create a SMC EDU Chapter for the local Hawaiian colleges.
Tara and Roxanne are not educators themselves, but still believe in educating college students about social media. People like Tara and Roxanne prove that you can pursue your goals and passions if you work hard and put heart into your work. I’m happy to have these two ladies as a part of Social Media Club and even happier to know that there are more individuals in Social Media Club who are just as passionate about the higher education space.
Social Media Club EDU is now in 13 colleges and universities across the United States, with hopes to expand Internationally now that we the guidance of our Board of Directors, among which include Terry Eberhart, who is helping to lead the vision of integrating social media curriculum in more higher education institutions and help instructors harness the tools available.
There is a so much opportunity in educating students and we look forward to expanding the SMCEDU initiative to colleges and universities in Hawaii.
