James “Flight” White – From D-League to Dunk Contest

Originally Posted on Author's Blog

White’s exploits made him a cult hero amongst dunk junkies. Yet after turning pro in 2006, he bounced around the D-League and Europe in search of the NBA. The Knicks signed him last summer off the strength of his Summer League performance. He’s been in and out of the rotation this season, highlighted by a 11 point game on January 11th against the Chicago Bulls. All that before his dunk contest invite.

James White’s persistence on developing his game and never giving up lead him back to the NBA. It may be his roots, his dunking, that turns him into a household name.
