Hello!

Marissa Diem here, On Ideas’ summer intern! I am a recent graduate from the University of North Florida. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication with a focus on Public Relations and Photography with a Psychology minor.

My first week here has been fantastic! Everyone is very welcoming and trying to provide me with the best experiences that I can obtain this summer. Thus far I have learned how to complete media monitoring for a client, how some of the internal On Ideas’ websites operate and, as an added bonus, I enjoyed some musical delight from some of my co-workers who love singing the epic song Call Me Maybe by Carly Rae Jepsen.

This summer I will be working with numerous areas of the agency with a focus on public relations, social media and new business. I hope to learn a lot about PR because that was my major in college, but I also want to explore as many aspects of the agency as possible so that I can discover what enthralls my interest the most! I would love to learn about areas such as event planning, client relations and creative. In high school I took Graphic Arts and TV Production and, as I said, I earned a photography minor in college so I have always liked to be a little creative.

I have some amazing mentors around here that I know will teach me a lot this summer, and I am so excited to be able to share it with you! I will be blogging weekly so be on the lookout!
