SMCPune and 2012
So we completed our last meetup of 2012 on 20th Dec.We wanted to meet all before the doomsday ! It was a fun evening and we saw some great conversations happening.
Conversations , interactions among fellow members thats what we are yearning for.One of the point which came out of the discussion was that in 2013 we need to spread our wings broader and create awareness among Pune folks that yes there is a group whose whole sole aim is to understand the different facets of Marketing .
Prasant Naidu from Lighthouse Insights shared many examples of how different brands are churning success from Social Media.His favorite names revolved around Bollywood.He emphasised on the fact that different medium requires different content.Do not blindly start posting same content on Facebook, Twitter etc.Users are looking for fresh content.Entertain them , do not bore them.He also brought out the fact that how brands are getting inclined towards Social Media for launching their new products and establishing a connect with their fans.Brands are getting creative and making contests as engaging as possible.For Example Tata Docomo's "complete the story "initiative.
We are in the game because of our evangelists.And we would really like to increase the sphere of SMCPune's evangelists.
