Live Your Life with Intention
I am sure there are times in your life where you look at a situation and say that you can do it or that “I wish I could make that happen”. The big difference between those that think and those that do is desire and then action. We all see things we dislike and do what we can to avoid them, for example, smoking is something I never did and decide not do. I have seen family members deal with the consequences of smoking and I have made a conscious choice to avoid it.
But as humans do we make our choices by seeing things that we detest and thus try to do the opposite or do we look for things we admire and embrace those. Yet there is a third choice. That would be to reflect on what we want for ourselves (not based on what society and the mass media says we should want) and embrace the way we are created. Let’s take that to the next level…
Look at today as 24 hours to either use with intention or misuse and squander. I know we can work at our jobs, duties, and requirements of life with intention. It would be where you purposefully and deliberately put forth effort that would produce fruitful results. Even if we dislike doing what is “required” we still must realize that we are using our most precious and limited asset: Time.
If you are enjoying a vacation or sweeping floors you are indeed using an asset that is unique to you, which is our limited lifetime. Remember this- Have purpose and intention in whatever you put your time into and it will never be wasted, but done with a purpose based on steps in your life’s goals.
