Building out your profile on Social Media Club

Welcome to Social Media Club! We have put together this guide to help you set up your profile and learn what you can do with your membership to get the most out of participating in the Social Media Club global community.

Open, Student and Non Profit Members:

  • Log into your account by clicking 'My Account' above and add your photo, first and last name, professional title, your main blog/website url, as well as links to your Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn profiles (if any). This is the information that will show in the Member Directory
  • We ask that you choose the 'Primary' Social Media Club chapter you associate with as well. Most of us have one we call 'home', and designating this in your profile will help that local chapter in future programs we are working on.
  • Under 'Account Details' you can update your password.
  • The 'My Conversations' tab will track all content you produce on the Social Media Club website (events, blog posts, etc.) to make it easy for you to manage.

Professional Members:

  • Log into your account by clicking 'My Account' above and add your photo, first and last name, professional title, your main blog/website url, as well as links to your Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn profiles (if any). This is the information that will show in the Member Directory

  • If you do any public speaking, or would like to start, the next section on your profile page is where you will want to pay special attention to so you can be listed in the Speakers Directory. What topics are you able to speak on? Do you have any presentations to share? Did you publish a book? Have an article written? Videos? Add them all here and help not only our Chapter Leaders find you to speak on your topic of choice, but possible clients as well!
  • Under 'Account Details' you can update your password. You can also choose to join the Social Media Club Journal service. The Social Media Journal will focus on more thought provoking/deep dive reporting. All you need to do to join is add your blog url here and then tag any post on your own website with 'smcjournal' and it will automatically show up on the Social Media Club website.
