Golden Globes, Oscars, AU SMC E-board announcements. We know, it’s an exciting time of year. Some have stayed the same and some have changed, but we wanted to give you an update. Without further adieu, it gives me great pleasure, excitement and giddiness to announce our new E-board.
AUSMC member Adam Olstein is a new intern at Activ8 Social
by Adam Olstein
For those students that want experience in the sports marketing or social media field, Activ8 Social is your place. They’re a social media agency that helps to create, tailor, and manage content for Red Bull athletes. As an intern, I do a wide variety of tasks, including research and analysis of sports, Facebook, Twitter, and Flickr. The coolest part though, is that I am able to use my creative side as well, thinking up ideas for campaigns and promotions on social media platforms for Red Bull athletes. I really encourage people to take advantage of the Social Media Club because not only can you get a really engaging internship, you can get one that is in a growing field that will probably be hiring many of us when we graduate (I hope).
For me it all started when Klout introduced their new algorithm, which slowly ate away at my Klout score. I dropped from the low 50s to the 40s with no end in sight. This small factor played into my decision to quit Klout.
