Enjoy the warmth and spirit of the holiday season at the 8th Annual Candlelight Stroll in downtown Weaverville. The Weaverville Business Association will once again sponsor this event, which provides a charming small-town Christmas atmosphere to residents and visitors.
The 35th presentation of Charles Dickens' classic tale of greed and redemption, performed by the Montford Park Players!
The stage will be continuously filled with musicians, choral groups, singers, dancers, and the Montford Park Players performing scenes from Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol. This year the Festival will feature more than 300 performers who, after their stage segment, will rove throughout the Village entertaining on the streets and in the shops and restaurants.
And when dusk turns into evening, the more than 250,000 white lights outlining the historic buildings will combine with the streetlights to enhance the ambiance. Shops will stay open both evenings until 7pm with many of the shopkeepers dressed in Victorian-era garb.
The Village will be decked out with Fraser fir holiday wreaths on each streetlight, on the entrance doors to the shops and for sale in locations throughout the Village.
