Happy 1st birthday SMC Casablanca!

Today marks an important milestone in the Social Media Club Casablanca journey. In the same day last year, Ayoub El Hakdaoui, Chadi Nanaa, Yasser Monkachi and I launched the Moroccan chapter of Social Media Club. And today, a year later, we marvel at how that group of four has grown into a thriving community of Social Media professionals and aficionados.
Last year, SMC Casablanca introduced the café 2.0 concept. A gathering with the main goal to "Connect - Discuss and Innovate" and two important ingredients: coffee and SMC community. Some cafés 2.0 were open, others theme-based (writing in the Digital Era for instance). Some were circumstantial variations such as Ftour 2.0. Refreshing conversations, amazing encounters and lots of fun never failed to surface.

The participation to SMI2011 "International conference about Social Media Impact on Organisations & Compagnies" has also been one of the highlights of last year. Along with the lovely MobA50, a foursquare Mob in Fanajeen Café that came with badges and delectable cookies! The UN workshop for "Social Media for MDGs" and #Diplomeet have shown us again how dynamic and emerging the Social Media scene is in Morocco.
Today marks a new slate, and a new page means few changes of course. For it is only through change one can go forward. Our team has undergone few changes starting from Ayoub Hakdaoui leaving the team for professional reasons. But we now welcome into our family Ayoub El Adraoui and Moncef Outabounte of whom you will find a small bio below.
As we start this new chapter of our journey, We thank everyone from the SMC Casablanca community for their incredible support and hope that our voyage of discovery, together, will never cease to bring the new, the enriching and the exciting into the Moroccan Social Media scene.
Until we meet again, never forget: If you get it, share it! It would go for the cake too if it wasn't so delicious :)
