This past Monday, I spoke to the Social Media Club of Evansville about using humor. My talk was titled Using Humor in Your Social Media Strategy and was based of the strategies that I use in my social media. We met a RiRa’s Irish Pub and went from there. I started with a story about how I went to New York City to loose a Father’s Day Dance contest sponsored by Hallmark. The story was from the perspective of a comedian competing in a dance contest against three other dads who all taught some sort of dance. Humor can be found almost anywhere. If you want to see a fat guy, me, do a cartwheel.
Social Media Day with Evansville Girl Geek Dinners
The Evansville Girl Geek Dinners club is organizing a meetup for Social Media Day 2011. The meetup will be on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at Grand Traverse Pie Company on Evansville’s east side from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM. There isn’t a planned speaker, but upcoming events and other news will be shared.
