October Meeting Recap - Making an eBook
Our last meetup was a huge hit, and kicked off a renewed interest in keeping the local chapter thriving. Special thanks to the awesome owners of Cowork Frederick, not only for use of their incredibly cool space, but also for handing out freebies to a few lucky folks who attended.
Steve Greenberg of Six Gables Software delivered the presentation and shared tips on how to publish eBooks, along with his own personally-recommended best practices. He covered a plethora of material (some technical, some not) in a short time, and really opened attendees’ eyes to the entire process. Steve touched on strategy as well as the pros and cons of using Amazon, iTunes, and other forms of eBook publishing. (Not to mention sharing quite a few tips on the pitfalls to avoid along the way!)
Book Review: The B2B Social Media Book

The B2B Social Media Book <-----> Become a Marketing Superstar by Generating Leads with Blogging, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, E-Mail and More by Kipp Bodnar and Jeffrey L. Cohen is one of the best resources I've found to date for B2B marketers looking to take advantage of the changing marketing landscape.
You know that you’ve found a good book when you pull out the highlighter and pencil notes in the margin. Within minutes of opening Bodnar and Cohen’s book, I found myself highlighting entire sections of text and marking pages to re-read and refer back.
