Call for Volunteers: #KC Social Media Command Center
Kansas City is home to the 2012 All-Star game and SMCKC, VisitKC, H&R Block & the Mayor's office will be hosting KC's first #KC Social Media Command Center during the festivities.
What is the #KC Social Media Command Center? Great question!
The Social Media Command Center is a focused effort to engage through social media with both visitors & citizens of #KC to improve their experience during the All-Star festivities. With the influx of people coming to KC, we want to give them a place to go online to connect with #KC experts and help them with everything from parking, public transportation, event details, directions, etc.
It's an awesome opportunity to show what effect real time online conversations can have on the #KC experience.
This social media command center will be taking place during the time of the All-Star game & Fanfest and we need volunteers to help run it!
SMCKC is being asked to help be the eyes, ears & voice of #KC during this Social Media Command Center.
It's a great opportunity to show off your curation or community management skills in a real-time event.
Please email Aaron Thacker thacker.ba@gmail.com if you're interested in volunteering for the event and let us know your availability, for both weekdays & weekends during the time of July6-10.
This is going to be fun!
Joe Cox
SMCKC President
