By now, we hope you've heard about this new SMCKC Pro Lunch thing. It's a series of high-level, value-packed discussions with people who are using social media to do amazing things in the world and in their careers.
Together, we donated 40 computers to Kansas City's neighborhoods!
/>Together with Connecting for Good, last week's computer drive generated over 40 computers to be donated to Kansas City's neighborhoods. Connecting for Good's digital literacy program is intended to help low income residents gain access to Google's offer of seven years of internet access for $300 (payable in 12 monthly installments).

November 2 Computer Drive with Connecting for Good
Immediately following this week's breakfast, from 9-10am Friday, November 2, SMCKC and Connecting for Good are holding a computer drive to collect internet-enabled devices to be distributed to lower income Kansas City residents. Please bring used and unwanted laptops, desktop computers, tablets or mobile phones that you would like to donate. We will accept any desktop or laptop (Mac or PC) whether it is in working condition or not. Non-broken monitors and peripherals can also be donated; if they are broken Synetic will recycle them for you for a fee.
