Help A Member In Weight Loss Challenge
Kurt Kloeblen here and I'm trying to be a finalist for the Kansas City Fitness Magazine Weight Loss Challenge 5. From 25 semifinalists, I need to be in the top 12 to make the competition and I only have until Thursday at noon to get my final votes in, which is where you loyal SMCKC members come in. I'm in 12 position, but it's by a single vote, so I need every "like" I can get.
Jan 28th Update: Elections, Feb Breakfast Meeting, March of Dimes
February is quickly approaching. Next week is the deadline for voting on new board members. The next SMCKC Breakfast meeting is next week on Friday, Feb 4th. An exciting happy hour is in the works for Feb 16th. Also in these coming weeks, SMCKC will be transferring over to the emfluence email platform for our newsletters.

Dec 22nd Update: Happy Holidays, Jan 7th Town Hall
The VIP preview of True Grit was the last SMCKC event of the year. It was a well attended event, which 2/3 of the crowd never attended an SMCKC event before. Door prizes were offered by our friends at Dunkin Donuts, Nicks Pizzeria, CoffeCakesKC, Katy Ryan and many more. Some of the attendees claimed the remake of True Grit was better than the original, but you can be the judge.
Net Neutrality Developments
Some big news, one way or the other, should be emerging from the Federal Communications Commission tomorrow regarding corporate control of the Internet versus equal access for all. Read Al Franken's take on the Huffington Post.
