Hello Everyone!

Well, it's official! We are now a chapter of SMC International and we are very excited to join you!  Our main focus being a SMCEDU chapter, is to focus on education.  By that we are not only wanting to work on educating the students in Social Media, but the professors as well.  Along with the education, we hope to engage members in conversations with not only each other and interested professionals, but with an array of real world professionals who are out there doing this every day.  Essentially harboring mutually beneficial relationships between students and real world business women and men who have a diverse pool of educated, in the know students to use for anything from market research to internship and job opportunities. 

Now that we have the group, the only thing missing is you.  We are reaching out to established members who are willing to please teach us.  Whether you live close enough to meet in person for one of our meetings, to hold a Skype conference, or almost anything else under the sun you can think of, we'd be extremely grateful.  In return, we are willing to help you.  Maybe it's market research, focus groups, bouncing ideas of what works for college age demographic groups or maybe you need an intern.  We are here for you as well.  Our group is housed in the School of Journalism at Kansas State, but we have members from many different departments.
