Southern Fried Design-a-thon

GeekforGood.net, CoLab Nashville and Social Media Club Nashville are combining forces to benefit a 25 year old local non-profit.

Flex your creative muscles and give
back to the community with a 24-hour
design-a-thon* benefitting a deserving
non-profit in Middle Tennessee.

We’re asking for copywriters, marketing/strategy
folks, graphic designers, Web developers and more.
Even if you want to participate and don’t do creative/
technology for a living, we still need tweeters,
bloggers and volunteers for other areas as well.
(Coordinators have been selected to direct volunteers
on site.) All you need to do is show up with your
sleeping bag and equipment (computer, pen and
paper, or whatever you need to work with.) We’ll
provide food, caffeine and entertainment in the
break room.
Doors open at 11:00 a.m. on July 24.
Breakfast will be provided to participants, followed by
an introduction of objectives and format at 11:00 a.m.
The design-a-thon begins at 12:00 a.m. Local media
will be present.
*We highly encourage participants to spend the entire 24 hours at
CoLab but it is not required.
