I was asked to review the book Socialnomics by Erik Qualman. The first few pages the author tells you that this book should not be read from cover to cover but skip to the chapters that peak your interest. Since I am reviewing the book I choose to read the book from cover to cover.

                I was surprised how easy a reads this book was. Everything was explained so that the novice person to Social Media could understand what was going on. A lot of real work examples were used in this book to apply to the theories the author published. The information provided in this book is more geared towards somebody new to the Social Media scene. People who are in the field will know most of the information explained in the book.

                A nice touch to the book is that it lists the key topics that were covered in that chapter and the end of each chapter. That way if you would like to access information quickly you can browse the key topics at the end of each chapter.

                Would I recommend this book to other users?  Yes, even though the book touches on the basics of Social Media I recommend that the novice-expert buy a copy. The novice should read it and the expert should use this book as a tool to give to managers or new people in the field to give them an idea on how important Social Media is to their business.
