Social Media Best Practices for Charities

Nearly 100 representatives from local Sacramento non-profits and charities attended Social Media Best Practices for Charities panel on Tuesday, Nov. 8 at The Urban Hive. The event was hosted by Clay Nutting, director of Concepts 4 Charity and account executive for 3Fold Communications. Panelists included: Julie Bornhoeft, director of development and community relations for WEAVE, Inc.; Chris Brune, director of creative services at Macer Media for Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services; Kate Towson, Americorps VISTA with Sacramento Steps Forward; Misty Avila, eAdvocacy coordinator for Aspiration Tech. The event was promoted in the Sacramento Press beforehand. Post-event coverage included an article in Sacramento Press, a blog post by 3Fold Communications and a blog post on Philanthrophile.
