The Argument for Simplicity in 2013
I am simply not a fan of the considerable amounts of “What’s Coming in 2013″ and “2012 in Review” posts that come across every platform I read – it was a barrage of blogs and data/stats that made my eyes hurt, and didn’t teach me much. It made me wonder what I should be doing better, to differentiate myself and the brands I manage. Here’s my personal list of resolutions:
*No Tweeting/Facebooking from the wrong account. Managing a million will give you heartburn. I had one (dumb and easily fixed, but still) mistake in 2012, looking for a big fat ZERO in 2013.
*No typos. Ditto to above. Triple/quadruple checks of all written things for polish and precision. Correcting and complaining about the grammar of others is only permissible if your own content is professional and error free.

Board Member Profiles: Cat Killfoil
Hi, my name is Slim Shady. No wait…that’s not right. That’s just a bad, dated rap reference.
My name is Cat Killfoil. I grew up on the East Coast and then scored a degree in English from the greatest college in the world – The University of Texas at Austin. I have lived in Seattle, San Diego, and now Park City, home to The Greatest Snow on Earth®. I fell in love with the mountains. Then I made this video, and won the gig of Ultimate Powderhound writing for the Ski Utah blog.
I love #hashtags, instagramming clouds and ski lifts, and almost every person I’ve met in real life after connecting on Twitter.
Board Member Profiles: Nicole Bullock
Greetings, social media friends! My name is Nicole Bullock, and I’m going to introduce you to the girl known on the interwebz as “Cute Culture Chick“. My online moniker was conceived around 2:00 am, the most creative time for insomniacs, and was used for an online dating profile. Nine years later, the name stuck and I’ve been married to my internet dating fling, Taylor, for eight years. He is a pilot for an east coast-based regional airline, and with that comes many travel perks. Rarely do I stay in the state of Utah for more than a month without jet-setting away.
