Join SMCSFO for our November panel on Social Media and the News!
Brian Solis of Altimeter said it first: "News no longer breaks, it Tweets."
Social media has repeatedly proven that it is a tool that works best for breaking news. News channel reports often follow Twitter and Facebook in coverage, making way for unintentional citizen journalists. How is traditional media handling this major shift in communications? How can news sites continue to compete and thrive in an era where people often turn to the web before they turn to the TV or radio? In this panel, we'll hear from media on how they take advantage of a media ecosystem that builds on social.
