Social Media Club Springfield Census 2011 Results

We wanted to share some exciting results from our 2011 census involving Social Media Club Springfield, where innovators from Missouri meet for monthly events to share, engage and collaborate with the community on the issues of social media and technology.  Our Facebook page has grown to 97 members and our Twitter feed, to 1037 members. Developing Mobile Apps

On June 8, Jesse Nivens presented to the Springfield Chapter the process of developing applications for mobile platforms.

Mobile applications are similar to the architecture of a home. You don't go in the front door and immediately move to the closet. The steps along the way are intuitive:  The front door leads to a set of choices as should the opening page of your site structure. Specific tasks and rules for the interface should guide the structure of the app.

When considering a mobile app for your organization, Jesse suggests the following steps toward app development:
