The Social Media Club of St. Charles is off to a great start so far! We had our first official event on Aug. 2 at Quintessential Dining & Nightlife. It was just an informal, social networking event, but we had a pretty good turnout, probably around 20-25 people. Definitely a success for our first event ever! We wanted it to be more of a meet-and-greet type of event, and I think we accomplished just that.

Our next event, on the other hand, will feature a guest speaker on a specific topic, "Social Media Authenticity." Our speaker will be Robyn Wright, professional blogger/reviewer and owner of RobynsOnlineWorld.com. Robyn is a Nielsen Top 50 Power Mom and was named the 10th most influential St. Louisian on Twitter in 2011. More details on her presentation to come. There will also be some time for social networking at this event. 

Robyn's presentation is scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, at Cottleville Wine Seller off Highway N in Cottleville. Click here for more event info.
