May 19 Gathering: All Things ‘Blogging’
Join the brand new Social Media Club Tacoma for our first educational program, a panel of blogging experts. We’ll start at 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 19, at the grand Rasmussen Rotunda courtesy of our sponsor, the University of Puget Sound. There are more details to come such as information about a pre-event dinner and drinks, but we wanted to get this on your calendar.
The goal of the program is to share practical ideas of use to a broad range of people, from beginning bloggers to veterans. Or, if you don’t blog, you’ll hear some fun war stories and meet other people with a passion for communication.
- Jennifer Boutell, one of Tacoma’s best-known bloggers for her community-centered Tacomamama, will talk about how she and others get ideas for posts.
- Bob Dunn of Cats Eye Marketing and a co-founder of Social Media Club Tacoma will talk about how your blog can market you and/or your business.
- Derek Young, recently honored for his community-building work with Exit133, will talk about managing and inspiring comments and dialogue on a blog.
A big club ‘Yay!” to Sarah Stall of the University of Puget Sound for her help in arranging all this and for the University’s great support.
RSVP form, snazzy titles for the talks and other details coming soon. Hope to see you there!
