I hope you all had a great time meeting the founders back in summer!

Since then, Jodi, Saul and I have been working hard on figuring our our next steps. With an abundance of events, in particular social media-related, in town (we are Silicon Valley North, afterall!), we wanted to make sure we start the chapter right by asking "How exactly can SMC Toronto benefit the local community?"

As a kickoff, we have invited you to participate in our "co-build" survey.  It is still open at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/88LW5CD. We are impressed with the quick and enthusiastic responses!  We wanted to clearly understand your desires and needs, what had worked in the past and, yes, your complaints and dislikes. 

The results will be shared, of course. If you are really curious right now, give me a shout and I will happy to send your some snapshots.

We have also been contacted by many who wish to help out. I cannot thank you enough! As an unfunded event, we can do with all the help we could to make it happen.

Our next event will be at the end of Nov. Date TBD, as we are still in contact with various panelists. 

We are also considering the best online space for in-between-events discussions, which, as indicated by the survey results, something pivotal for our ongoing dialogues.

Updates will be posted on FB of course (have you joined the group yet?). We will also start a Twitter account (FYI, @SMCTO and @SMCToronto are both taken!! Too bad, eh?)
