Hi and welcome, On behalf of founder Mitch Baldwin and the entire SMCYVR Board, we encourage you to join Social Media Club and help us bring together social business professionals around connecting, learning and sharing about social media.

What We’re All About

Social Media Club is a worldwide organization headquartered in San Francisco, California. With 72 active chapters in nine countries, and 95 in the process of forming, SMC has become a phenomenon, drawing thousands of like-minded social media enthusiasts.

We are more of a trade association than a club, more aligned with marketing, PR and advertising than technologists, but we love technology. Part of our charter is to be as inclusive and welcoming as possible. No one should come to an SMC event and feel awkward or unaccepted. At some level we are all  learning within this nascent, exciting area and we want everyone to feel welcome.

The other emphasis within SMC is written into our tagline: “if you get it, share it.” SMC is about sharing knowledge, best practices and helpful tips. It is not about self-interest, self-promotion or spam. We hope (and expect) you to come to our events ready to share with others.
