How Listening Online Can Help Nonprofits Message More Effectively
Many nonprofits put most of their online communications effort into broadcasting messages. They want to be engaged in the online conversation put are missing out on a critical part -- listening. This workshop explains how to build listening online into your process to capture the buzz around the topics you care about and with the people you want to connect with online.
Through no-cost listening tools, users can track the impact of their online communication efforts (websites, blogs, social media, and more), while also tracking issues pertinent to the mission and work of their organization.
During this interactive workshop we will discuss examples of online listening and monitoring tactics for following social platforms such as blogs, video, Twitter and Facebook, discussion boards, and online mainstream media.
