"What I know for sure: The social media edition" by Paulette Beete 

SMC Gaithersburg is honored to partner with the Arts & Humanities Council of Montgomery County to present, "What I know for sure: The social media edition" by guest speaker Paulette Beete of theNational Endowment of the Arts.

Join us Thursday, July 26th at 6pm as Paulette discusses what she has learned being a online community manager and content specialist during her federal tenure.

Paulette is a Senior Writer-Editor at National Endowment for the Arts. She is also a published literary writer in poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction. Her poems, fiction, and nonfiction have appeared in journals, such as Crab Orchard Review, Rhino, CaKe, andProvincetown Arts. Paulette has published two poetry chapbooks: Blues for a Pretty Girl (Finishing Line Press 2005) and Voice Lessons (Plan B Press, 2011). 

Since 1976, the Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County (AHCMC) has been the County’s designated local arts agency. Through our programs and services, AHCMC provides the infrastructure and support necessary to maintain a robust creative community that includes over 350 cultural organizations and 1200 artists and scholars. AHCMC annually distributes over $4 million in grants to organizations and individuals to help fund enriching cultural activities in [the] County. Funding is provided by the Montgomery County Government, the Maryland State Arts Council, corporations, organizations and individuals.
