SMCNYC is excited to welcome a group of great Social and Digital thinkers to NYC, and to join Social Media Society and the Morris and King Company for this event.

We will be celebrating two titles – the first,  Social Business by Design, is written by Dachis Group Chief Strategy Officer Peter Kim and Dachis Group Executive Vice President Dion Hinchclife and published by Jossey-Bass with a publication date of May 1st.  Peter is a former Forrester analyst and is one of the most well respected minds in the world of social business. Dion has over two decades of experience, is the editor-in-chief of Social Computing Magazine and has a blog on ZDNet called “Enterprise Web 2.0.”   

The second book is entitled The Connected Company, written by Dave Gray, SVP at Dachis Group, and will be released by O’Reilly Media later this year. Dave was the founder of XPLANE, a highly successful global communications and business transformation consultancy. XPLANE was acquired by Dachis Group in April 2010.

These three authors will be joining us to talk briefly about their books, and we'll have some light food and drinks. Jeff Dachis, Dachis Group CEO, is hosting the event.
