Social Media Club Atlanta PechaKucha Night
Thu. May 24 2012
6:00pm - 8:00pm
On May 24th, we are bringing back one of the most talked about and exciting evenings from last year - and having our SMCATL meeting PechaKucha, or Lightning Talk, style.
For those of you who have never heard of PechaKucha or Ignite, it is a simple, unique, and fast-paced presentation style where each presenter shows 20 images or slides, each for either 15 or 20 seconds each. The images advance automatically, and the presenter speaks along with the images. (So each presentation is either exactly 5 minutes long, or exactly 6 minutes 40 seconds long!). Also used by Ignite, and Lightning Talks, these presentations are fun, exciting and inspiring.
PechaKucha started in Tokyo, as a way for designers, architects, artists, and other creatives to get together and share their ideas, works, and thoughts in a unique and fun way. It's very social, and very fun. To learn more about PechaKucha, please visitwww.pecha-kucha.org. To learn more about Ignite, please visit http://ignite.oreilly.com/
