Social media is dramatically changing the way consumers and health organizations interact. From providers to practitioners, insurers to individuals, social media and online communities have become a new trusted mainstay of healthcare information discovery and delivery.

On the patient side, consumers are rapidly embracing social media and networks to educate themselves on diseases and to connect with others in similar situations.
