Social media is dramatically changing the way consumers and health organizations interact. From providers to practitioners, insurers to individuals, social media and online communities have become a new trusted mainstay of healthcare information discovery and delivery.

On the provider side, Facebook is quickly becoming a key tool in patient engagement.  Hospitals are launching blogs full of educational content.  Some organizations, like Kaiser Permanente, have developed secure electronic databases that let patients view their records and email doctors.

On the patient side, consumers are rapidly embracing social media and networks to educate themselves on diseases and to connect with others in similar situations.

Sounds daunting?  We’ve got your digital prescription.  In this panel discussion, we’ll explore how you can become more informed through social media engagement in all aspects of wellness and disease prevention, diagnosis, management and cures.
