Dallas Companies Honored for Social Media Campaigns

The Social Media Club of Dallas has announced the winning social media campaigns to be presented Sept. 19 at the third annual Social Media Showcase.  Selected campaigns include:

Dallas Convention and Visitors Bureau (Nimble Worldwide)

Alzheimer’s Prevention Initiative (BOOMBox Network)

“This is the third year that SMC Dallas has hosted the showcase, which features social media marketing campaigns from Dallas-based businesses and agencies,” said Mark Barrera, president. “With each passing year, we’re seeing a trend toward more demonstrable results, as well as social campaigns that are beginning to attain awareness levels equal to those of mainstream media.”

The showcase entries are judged based on criteria including objectives, strategy and results; creativity; integration with other elements of the marketing mix; completeness; and insights, according to Catherine Karam Nordurft, Showcase organizer. “I’m excited about this year’s participants, because they represent a range of organizations from non-profits like the Dallas Convention and Visitors Bureau, to multi-location restaurant brands, to local entertainment venues like Lone Star Park,” Nordurft said. “The case studies indicated that even with a small budget, a well-executed creative idea can still achieve impressive results in social media.”

SMC Dallas will host the Social Media Showcase from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013, at Angelika Movie Theatre at Mockingbird Station. Early registration is $35. After September 18, late registration is $45. Register to attend the event at http://bit.ly/12R70Bq.
