SMCHI Is Seeking a Venue for 2013!


Downtown HonoluluIt’s a new year, and we’re on the hunt for a venue for our public educational events! In true social media form, we are asking the community for ideas and suggestions.

First, a little bit a about us:

We are Social Media Club of Hawaii, an educational nonprofit organization. The members of Social Media Club commit to developing and supporting best practices of transparency, authenticity, and ethics in the use of social media and social networking. Our members are leaders in the field and are helping to define these business practices.

We hold public educational events 4-6 times per year that attract social media enthusiast, practitioners, business leader and working professionals.

Are you looking to increase exposure for your venue and boost your social media presence? Hosting a Social Media Club Hawaii event is a great way to generate awareness and leave a lasting footprint about your venue. Leading up each event, the venue is always mentioned and linked to in our enewsletters, social media profiles, and Eventbrite page. As you can imagine, a room full of social media lovers also means a room full of tweets, photos and posts surrounding the venue.

We are seeking a venue in the Downtown Honolulu area that can meet the following requirements:

  • Has availability 4-6 times per year on a weekday from 6:00 – 7:30pm
  • Can accommodate 50-70 people
  • Has a projector and screen
  • Has a sound board and speakers
  • Has food and beverages available to order, or catering
  • Has wi-fi available
