December 11 Brings Stockings Full of Social Media
As we round out the year, we wanted to take a look back at where we’ve been. After launching the monthly meetings in April of 2009, we then set out to teach Hawaii about social media. To accomplish this task, we worked with a non-profit so everyone could watch a hands-on approach to building a social media campaign.
This month, we celebrate our accomplishments with an informal meeting…or should we say, social networking at its core. We’ll be meeting in the upstairs loft of ING Direct Cafe. We won’t be having a formal presentation. We will be interviewing Kirsten and Rick of our nonprofit educational support project. We’ll be having light pupus and lots of time for some in-depth socializing! Bring plenty of business cards! Holiday attire is welcome.
We’ll wrap up (no pun intended) 2009 and look towards our goals and objectives for 2010. In the spirit of giving, and to honor all our non-profits who participated in this year’s contest, club founder and sponsor Roxanne Darling of Bare Feet Studios will offer a “Social Networking for Non-Profits” ebook for all those in attendance.
Kirsten and Rick Rutiz of Ma Ka Hana Ka ?Ike will talk to us about their 6 months of social media bootcamp We will also be thanking our campaign sponsors, Hawaiian Airlines and the Hilton Waikiki Prince Kuhio, and our perennial sponsors, ING Direct Cafe and Bare Feet Studios.
We look forward to seeing you and greeting you with holiday cheer!
