I am a recent Texas Tech graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations with a minor in American Sign Language. As the Web Content Developer and Writer with the Office of Communications and Marketing at Texas Tech, I am responsible for daily upkeep of Texas Tech Today and for the monthly recap newsletter by the same name. I write features and alumni profiles, and manage Texas Tech’s Media Resources and Experts Guide.

Before taking my current position, I was the Public Relations in New Media Intern in the office, in which my responsibilites included writing press releases, feature stories and media advisories for the news bureau, and finding new and more efficient ways to release information and news to the media and the public.

In my spare time, I enjoy learning about social media and how it is changing the world of communications. I’m an avid Twitter and Facebook user, like to learn about other social networking Web sites and I also write a blog. When not working, I spend time with my pets and enjoy reading mystery novels.
