The following was updated in October 2012.
Ari Herzog is a communications pro with 12 years of experience managing enterprises in technology, media, and government. He consults and provides services in digital media auditing, marketing, and training.
Like other social media practitioners, Ari wears many hats. He is an online community manager at Johnson Beesley, an adjunct faculty instructor at Endicott College, and the President of SMC's Boston chapter, also sitting on the SMC global board.
Ari built his first website in 1996, began blogging in 2004, joined Facebook in 2005 and Twitter in 2008, and ran online political campaigns since 2009. A former columnist at Mashable and the Huffington Post, bylining articles is nothing new for him; as Ari was published hundreds of times in the early '90s as a newspaper reporter. He routinely contribute articles to blogs worldwide.
Over on LinkedIn, Ari moderates a group about social media marketing strategies that was launched two years ago and currently has over 3,500 members.
His blog at AriHerzog.com explores new and emerging media and is visited by 15,000 people every month. Not bad for a site that's never used Google AdWords or PPC campaigns!
Ari holds a Master in Public Administration from Suffolk University and a BS in Sociology from Worcester State College. He lives in Newburyport, Massachusetts, where he serves as an elected city councilor.
