As of October 2009, I started with a new Internet marketing agency in Nashville called [meta]marketer. We provide SEO and website optimization for medium to large businesses across the nation. I spend most of my time managing SEO link builders for the company. We approach SEO from an organic perspective--building link portfolios in a natural way. This philosophy provides longer lasting value and fewer consequences compared to what you may have heard regarding other SEO companies who may focus on quick and quantity. Many of these techniques do the opposite and devalue a company's Google rating down the line.
Prior to [meta]marketer, I worked with Thomas Nelson Publishers for almost nine years in six positions related to web development and marketing. Throughout my time with the company I served as an internal marketing consultant to for over 80 small to large websites. The bulk of 2008 and 2009 included marketing, developing, and updating the company's corporate website and online customer interactions.
For most of 2007 at Nelson, I focused most of my time working with marketers to utilize our relationship with Tangle.com (a Christian YouTube and social network). This included producing online celebrity video chat sessions and consulting on sweepstakes, giveaways, and eblasts. In 2006, I helped start a new online website called eBible.com, and focused on finding solutions for customer service, fulfillment, accounting, staffing, business strategy, ecommerce web development and security. The company had to pull out of the project before development was finished. The website is still around today providing similar bible search services.
Outside of my professional experience, I setup WordPress websites, edit small form videos, prepare audio podcasts, and present at counseling conferences on how counselors can use social networks to market themselves and connect with youth.
