Laura Good
- Professional
Laura Good is treasurer, past president and a member of the executive leadership team of Sacramento Social Media Club, a leading chapter of the global Social Media Club organization. She is recognized in the Sacramento region as one of the top social media influencers and experts. Good uses her social media expertise to promote the community, help regional non-profits, share information about Social Media Club and to carry out her marketing communications responsibilities as Director of Programs and Operations for the economic development non-profit organization, SARTA (Sacramento Area Regional Technology Alliance).
Laura has always enjoyed helping people to connect and spreading the word about important causes. She was one of the early adopters of social media, starting with MySpace. . A cross country move and job search propelled her into the hallows of LinkedIn and numerous friend invitations encouraged her to try out Facebook. In 2009, after attending a lecture on Collaboration 2.0, she investigated Twitter and a social media junkie was born! She is better known in Sacramento as @goodlaura and has one of the top Klout scores in Sacramento.
Laura has a knack for understanding how to use social media to engage an audience. She keeps on top of emerging trends through her participation in the Social Media Club and through her Twitter network. She enjoys helping others discover the power of the social media conversation.
Laura has broadly based managerial experience in the areas of operations, manufacturing, finance, technical sales, product management, human resources, marketing communications, event management and project management. She has a Bachelor of Science in Commerce degree from Santa Clara University.
