Kathy (Kat) Mandelstein sits on the Board of Directors and is the current Vice President of Social Media Club Austin, and is active in the local Social Media community in Austin helping create quality programming and social events often in partnership with other Austin Organizations. Professionally, Kathy currently oversees worldwide marketing programs, web and events for IBM Collaboration Solutions and Social Business in IBM Software (http://www.ibm.com/social) designed to empower people to be more effective, responsive and innovative within the context of the work they do. It includes enterprise social software, web experience, email, calendar, unified messaging, electronic forms, web conferencing, portals, team spaces, business dashboards, document management and more. Previously Kathy led the IBM Rational marketing team focused on the business value of effective software delivery. Kathy has been a pioneer in launching successful web and social media marketing efforts, as well as developing dedicated web communities. Her past history includes leading various Web development and marketing teams in IBM Software Group. Kathy has over 20 years of professional experience in the areas of management, marketing, sales, web development, advertising and corporate communications. Kat holds a B.S. in Advertising with Minor in Marketing from the University of Texas at Austin and a Global Leadership MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas.
