This describes the no-nonsense approach that she takes with every aspect of the creation and operation of RAW Marketing. This trend-savvy company provides a much-needed service for businesses and entrepreneurs who lack the budget or manpower to consistently and effectively market or brand their business.
Highlighted as one of the Top 125 Women Entrepreneurs for the Chicago area, and recently nominated as one of the 50 Women to Watch in Technology, Ruth Ann has burst onto the scene with her creative and innovative marketing techniques.
Ruth Ann’s journey in becoming a successful entrepreneurial started in 1999, where she was hired as the Regional Marketing and Sales Account Executive for Gazoom.com a internet start-up company out of Toronto, Ontario . Ruth Ann continued in the Internet industry when she landed a job at Gateway Computers as the Outside Business Sales Executive for Large Businesses from 2000-2002.
Ruth Ann’s path to becoming a social media guru began when she accepted the Marketing and Sales Manager position for large Ski Resort in New Mexico. With infinite ambition and a creative mind, Ruth Ann launched the resort’s first social media campaigns.
After nearly four years of increasing the ski areas revenue through her non-traditional and imaginative online marketing ideas, Ruth Ann was recruited by a high-end lodging property in Telluride, Colorado to head their Sales and Marketing Department in 2006. As the Director, she single handedly launched their breakthrough into the social media market. After surpassing all expectations, the hotel’s management company, recommended Ruth Ann to build a social media standard for the company to benchmark for use worldwide.
After a long stint in Telluride, Ruth Ann moved to the Chicagoland area after marrying an Illinois native in 2010. Not wanting to lose her as a team member, the lodging property retained her as a freelance employee, now working remotely. In this time, Ruth Ann also had acquired several small Aspen-area businesses as her clientele which also continued to use her services after her move to the Midwest.
When word got around about Ruth Ann’s impressive resume and proven track record, the referrals began to escalate. Not only did she retain her small business clients, she was hired by large lodging companies, small local businesses, entrepreneurs and foundations to help them increase revenue with her marketing and social media concepts.
It was official, RAW Marketing, LLC was nationwide by the Spring of 2010. Since its inception, RAW Marketing has attained a large assortment of diverse clients, ranging from Hawaii to the Caribbean, and has grown to two-full time along with two part-time employees.
