Meet our Editorial Director:

Katy Wellhousen (@katywellhousenstarted the social media department for one of the largest advertising agencies in the outdoor space, and has experience with clients in areas ranging from oil and natural gas to gourmet cookies. She specializes in helping clients develop campaigns that connect with their target audience and enjoys maintaining the delicate balance that is community management for hot-button industries. She was introduced to the power of social media when she created a satirical Twitter account in spring 2011 that grew to boast over 100k followers, and decided to pursue a career helping brands take advantage of this power.

Katy has an MS in strategic communication and a BS in journalism, and having previously served as a proofreader for an advertising agency, she feels she has the clout to make an argument against the Oxford comma and double-spacing after the end of a sentence. When she isn’t correcting her Facebook friends’ grammar, she’s watching New Orleans Saints football or enjoying a good brunch.
