Social Media Club Introduces Hillary Till, Student Chapter Liaison

Social Media Club has sustained some excellent growth over the last few years, with well over 230 chapters globally.  This growth has demanded that our organization start making larger strides in our SMC EDU initiative.

Social Media Club launched Social Media Club for Education (SMCEDU) to provide leadership, guidance, facilitation and resources to students, educators, and administrators in higher education organizations that will promote and enable competent usage of social media by our citizens, workforce and educational institutions.

Student Chapter Liaison, Hillary Till, who recently graduated from Texas State San Marcos with a degree in Public Relations and Mass Communications, is tasked – along with Yong Lee and the rest of our Advisory Board – to develop educational content that will be shared on our newly launched SMCEDU Blog, sharing lessons learned from each of the Student Chapters, setting up guidelines to help Student Chapters set up (and grow), as well as highlighting the Students/Faculty involved in each Student Chapter.

With Hillary’s help, we are now better able to help educate other schools on what is needed to be successful in this ever changing industry we find ourselves in, and put a much more concentrated effort around our SMCEDU initiative.

Hillary is an excellent addition to the Social Media Club team (all three of us) because she brings her excitement and hunger to work each day. “I am thrilled to be working for Social Media Club. I love that I’ll be working with the student chapters because I have a passion for education. I’m looking forward to contributing to the growth of Social Media Club. I feel very lucky to have a job I love so much at a young age,” Till says.

We are grateful for Hillary’s passion for Social Media Club, you may connect with Hillary on Twitter @HillaryTill.
