Social Media Clubhouse Newsletter (4/12/12)

SOCIAL MEDIA CLUB CHAPTERS EMBODY “IF YOU GET IT, SHARE IT”

Social Media Club was founded to share best practices across the industry by building community and providing a collaborative environment to teach and learn.

Over the last few years many of our chapters have gone above and beyond by providing workshops or on-going training to individuals, local government and nonprofit organizations.

This idea of local talent helping local businesses around these emerging technologies is more than we could ask for, and we’re incredibly proud of our chapters who give back so much to their communities.

Did you know that SMC Austin selects a nonprofit to work with every six months and provides on-going training and support? Or that SMC Lawrence hosts monthly crowdsourcing events for nonprofits to brainstorm marketing ideas and get feedback from local professionals? This is just a taste of what our chapters are doing across the globe, and you can read more hereTell us how your chapter is giving back and it may be featured on our Clubhouse blog.

You can also follow SMC Editorial Team Member, Susan Breidenbach who has helped cover 20+ chapters in an effort to highlight what makes each SMC chapter unique.

If you’re already involved in your local chapter, thank you! If you’re looking to get more involved with a chapter, visit our Local Chapter directory to find the chapter nearest you.

Social Media Club chapters are a reflection of their communities, so get involved! And don’t forget, “If you get it, share it!”
