Thankful Thursday (#ThTh) on Twitter: Thanksgiving Every Week!

Things have been tough lately for everyone, no matter which corner of the globe you call home. There is tough news emerging almost every day on the the economy, global conflict and even on personal happiness. While many have complained about mainstream media’s continual focus on negative news, including the very journalists doing the reporting, there has unfortunately been little change over the years.

But still, there is much to be thankful for, and a great deal of positive news to read if you are willing to look for it, or if you set up your filters properly…

Personally, I have been very lucky my entire life, despite numerous challenges, bumps in the road and health issues. Every day, I strive to remember this and get in touch with those things that are so great in my life. Over the years, through each of the challenges and difficult days, I have found that taking time for reflecting on the positive and getting in touch with this key thought has given me the strength and courage to keep going, to push forward and to ultimately achieve something greater with that day. Instead of being mired in negativity, just a glimmer of hope can bring happiness.

So today I want your help in changing the world, just a little bit. Today we are asking you to share just one thing you are thankful for, and to check in every Thursday from this week forward to do it again and again. Thankful Thursday (#ThTh) can be just as big as Follow Friday #FF, or it will be simple and small. The number of people who join in is not what’s important, it’s the intention and energy behind the idea, and the power of each tweet to help change people’s day just a little bit towards a more positive outcome is what really matters.

It all starts with a simple tweet, so please take a moment to think about what you are thankful for today and share it on Twitter using the hashtag #ThTh. While there are a few other uses for this hashtag, a quick look on Twitter just now reveals it’s infrequent use, so open for us to start a new movement to help change the world towards more grace and use the native virality to help the world find a more positive attitude.

So what are you waiting for, tell us what you have to be thankful about today!
