Help Us Support Local Keiki at Friday's The Aloha Kai Gala!
Social Media Club Hawaii is proud to support The Aloha Kai Gala event to benefit N? Kama Kai and its work with local keiki through environmental protection and ocean awareness programs. The black-tie Gala is happening at the fabulous Trump International Hotel Waikiki on Friday, June 27, 2014 from 6:30pm to 10pm and features onolicious pupu, fireworks, a silent auction, Khush fashion show and special performance by Lauren Mayhew.
The Aloha Kai Gala is presented by Wild Kingdom Media (WKM), a management company focused on providing representation, statistics and branding to allow entertainers the time and freedom to perfect their craft. WKM has joined forces with N? Kama Kai’ (Children of the Sea), whose mission is to empower youth by creating, conducting and supporting ocean-based programs, specifically targeting ocean safety and conservation awareness in order to increase the capacity of youth in the community through Hawaiian values, culture and environmental education.
Wild Kingdom Media proudly believes in the Aloha spirit and bringing the local community together as keiki hold a special place in our hearts. By helping develop the next generation of creative minds and supporting programs that help encourage keiki to flourish and explore their artistic abilities, we are all shaping the next generation of creative minds.
Proceeds from the silent auction will go to support N? Kama Kai’s monthly free beach clinic to underprivileged keiki. Currently there are four stations at the clinic; A wood shaping station where keiki simulate a traditional method of creating surf boards. Next is a safety station where basic ocean safety tips are taught by a lifeguard. Following the safety brief, keiki get a chance to participate in stand-up paddle-boarding with a chaperone and a canoe ride. At the last station, keiki enjoy a light snack and learn about Hawaiian history and ocean conservation.
Your participation in the Aloha Kai Gala will help raise funds for a fifth station where keiki can explore music. Wild Kingdom Media is committed to making a lasting contribution to N? Kama Kai’s program – and Social Media Club Hawaii is lending support in event promotion.
We encourage our members to attend the Gala – and help spread the word to friends, family, business associates, and across your social networks.
